Prosper de Roos is an artist, writer and educator based in Amsterdam. His multidisciplinary practice spans sound works, photography, moving image, text and interactive media. Through narrative, participatory and hybrid forms, he creates works that invite reflection on perception, space, interconnectedness and ways of inhabiting a changing world.

Prosper de Roos is maker, schrijver en geeft les. Hij werkt met audio, fotografie, bewegend beeld, tekst en interactieve media. Prosper ontwikkelt werken die reflecteren op waarneming, ruimte, onderlinge verbondenheid en de manieren waarop we ons een plek geven in een voortdurend veranderende wereld.
Hiernaast geef hij les, workshops en labs over filosofie, storytelling en humanisme. Van participerende meerdaagse activiteiten tot korte bijeenkomsten. Op projectbasis organiseert hij filosofische wandelingen en cultuurprojecten.

Prosper de Roos studeerde filosofie en LVHO aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam, en film/fotografie aan de kunstacademie St. Joost te Breda. Hij werkt(e) o.a. voor: HKU, Vrije Hoge School, Publieke Omroep, Oorzaken Festival, Avans Hoge School, Artez, Humanistisch Verbond, Crea Universiteit van Amsterdam, Utrecht University.
Alongside his artistic practice, de Roos engages in education through participatory labs and workshops that explore the intersections of philosophy, storytelling, and creative imagination. Prosper studied Fine Arts at St. Joost School of Art & Design, and Philosophy at the University of Amsterdam.
His works have been nominated for: Prix Europa, Prix Marulic, Best of IDFA on tour, SXSW festival, TopTen Cologne international Film & Television Conference, Portobello Filmfestival London, National Media Museum Bradford, Schieblok IFFR, Rooftop Festival New York, among others.
