Interactive audio work and podcast exploring the impact of eye contact. Inspired by the artwork The Artist is Present, the project creates a shared artistic experience by using biofeedback to translate participants’ physiological responses into sound.
The project encourages participants to reflect on looking at one another (or not). In that respect, eye contact is not something that can be taken for granted. There are many differences based on age, gender, and social or cultural context. But eye contact can also be a shared experience that brings people together. This project explores these various aspects of seeing and being seen. At its core, LOOK aims to reduce distance between people by making the invisible dynamics of human interaction tangible.
